ITINERARY DETAIL


Institute of Rolling Stock Engineers (IRSE) and Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers Association (IRSMEA), with support from Indian Railways and RITES, are organizing an international technical conference on "RAIL COACH INTERIORS: INNOVATION, SAFETY, COMFORT" at New Delhi on 9th and 10th October 2015.

Institute of Rolling Stock Engineer (IRSE) is a registered body having Railway officers and experts as its members and is headquartered at RDSO/Lucknow. It strives to work as a platform and forum to amalgamate & share knowledge on Rolling Stock technologies.

Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers Association (IRSMEA) is set up with an objective to promote and diffuse knowledge in the areas of modern transportation technology and MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, To hold seminars, workshops, discussions and finally to give constructive suggestion to the Government conducive to the growth and development of Indian Railways.

Indian Railways Indian Railways have today the largest passenger operations amongst all railways in the world carrying over 25 million passengers daily. Occasionally, there are instances of fire on trains and Indian Railways have decided to address this issue in a focused manner. Need is felt to study the issue a fresh and obtain new inputs in the field from various stake-holders/organizations / institutions / individuals dealing with the subject. There may also be a need to employ some 'out of the box' thinking in order to find innovative and effective yet economical solutions. This international conference under the combined banner of IRSE and IRSMEA is an attempt at bringing all stake holders on a single platform.

Research Designs & Standards Organization (RDSO) is the R&D arm of Indian Railways located at Lucknow responsible for R&D works in all railway related disciplines and leads the process of technology induction. Working directly under ministry of Railways it is also responsible for standardization of all railway systems on Indian Railways.

RITES Ltd. is a Government of India Enterprise under the aegis of Indian Railways. An ISO 9001-2008 company, RITES is a multi-disciplinary consultancy organization in the fields of transport, infrastructure and related technologies.

In 1199 work began on this tower which was intended to be the most glorious tower of victory in the world. It is listed in the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites in India, Qutub Minar is Delhi's recognised landmark.

The Conference Venue


Vigyan Bhavan is a premier convention centre of Government of India in New Delhi. Built in 1956, over the years it has been venue of conferences of national and international stature, seminars and award ceremonies attended by distinguished world leaders and dignitaries. It normally holds National/international level functions and conferences.
